Job Description: Sr. Project Manager for ERP, Development & IT Projects

Job Summary
A high profile position requiring the ability to interact with executives and staff at all levels, across many geographic locations. This position reports to the President or General Manager. The purpose of the role is to ensure that resources are deployed and projects are managed with client satisfaction, within budget and on-site.  To maximize revenue opportunities and increase customer satisfaction by effectively partnering with consulting management to staff project roles with the best fit consultants in the most advantageous timeframe for customer success.

Primary Relationships

  • Reports to: President or General Manager
  • Team member of: Management Team
  • External: Consoltech Resources, Inc.’s customer base as well as other industry specific CRI approved organizations.
Principle Responsibilities
  • Primary
    • Project Management
      • Manages and organizes resources to ensure timely and successful completion of client projects and other consulting operations schedules.
      • Optimize, implement and successfully manage project resource efficiency and quality standards.
      • Manage the day-to-day activities of internal processes to assure that best practices are maximized.
      • Manage procurement of appropriate project resources for all client projects, as well as internal operational needs.
      • Monitors the project schedules and resource allocations to ensure appropriate project execution.
      • Troubleshoots, resolves, and escalates complex project issues.
      • Reviews proposed changes to all client project schedules.
      • Ensures adequate resource work schedules are maintained.
      • Ensures changes are planned, documented and archived.
      • Report progress against the project plan
      • Record variances/deviations from the project plan
      • Monitor actual vs. budget (estimates) as it applies to timing and costs
      • Document and report project status (requirements documents, executive summaries, project status reports)
      • Perform project close.

    • Team and Division Management
      • Work within team budgets
      • Attain minimum divisional goals including but not limited to:
        • Revenue, Utilization and Productivity
        • Decrease time-to-fill by streamlining process/handoffs
        • Minimize non-billable time
        • Reduce process administration costs
        • Improve skills forecast to drive strategic hiring & staffing selection decisions
        • Increase internal customer satisfaction with Resource Management function/process
Management
      • Manage scheduling conflicts and determine resolutions, escalate to Project Manager and General Manager when necessary
      • Report on and analyze resource productivity compared to scheduled time
      • Collaborate with Project Managers and General Manager to provide continual analysis to ensure maximum utilization of employees
      • Assist with ad hoc reporting and quality assurance process for standard weekly and monthly reports
      • Review the variance in forecasting and productivity with Management Team
      • Work with the project team to understand immediate and future consulting resource needs.
      • Recruit consulting resources.
      • Track and report on recruiting activities and results.
      • Maintain a database of qualified consulting resources.
      • Document the needs (requisitions and reports) to ensure a thorough understanding of them.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Accounting, MBA not required but preferred
    • 5-7 years in Consulting or Project Management experience with Accounting/ERP Implementations
    • 5-7 years IT Project Management experience, PMP preferred
    • 3 to 5 years experience in building and managing consulting teams that deliver solid consulting metrics and high customer satisfaction.

    • Solid Understanding of accounting principles and business processes.
    • Excellent written and phone communication skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines and produce Customer Focused Results.
    • Excellent Project Management and Organizational Skills
    • A proven track record in delivering implementation methodologies and delivering on innovative consulting engagements.
    • Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities and deliver recommendations
    • Ability to work with diverse personalities
    • Ability to travel periodically
    • Extensive Experience using Microsoft Project
    • Experience with ERP implementations
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP or equivalent ERP solution
    • Experience managing a minimum $1M project and higher
