The Fixed Allocation Override enhancement for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 includes the creation of a new user interface window that will allow the override of the percentages and amounts coded in the fixed allocation master record.  In addition, this features will allow you to...

• Add, Delete, or Change the pre-defined distribution accounts
• Update distribution percentage by account
• Display the distribution amount by account
• Allow the option of updating the distribution percentage or distribution amount
• Validate that resulting distribution is equal to the total AP transaction amount

A new user interface (see Figure 1 for a rendering) exposes the option for the user to make a transaction specific override of the default “Fixed Allocation” assigned to the vendor linked to the transaction being entered.  The override window can also be used against vendors without an assigned ‘Fixed Allocation”, however the user will need to make the distribution list completely from scratch.  Neither override of assigned “Fixed Allocation” or manual entry of the same will be saved permanently in the system.  The information will only be used in the calculation of the distribution for the current transaction.
